Dig around the web. Kimber hate threads aren't uncommon. There are a lot of people who have had experiences like Gundog55. Kimber CS has a rep for weaseling their way out of stuff. If you make a claim, you'd best make sure you've had no work done and ensure that it's got all the same stuff it came with new. To be fair, there are also a lot of people with feel good stories that could make a decent chick-flick. The large number of angry folks gives me pause, so I will probably never buy a new one. Why should I roll the dice, when there are so many other excellent competitors with Long warranties & reputations for excellent CS? I don't see the need to buy from the company with the one year warranty and the big question mark on the CS dept.
