I purchased some wood grips from a vendor called "Grips4u".net, based out of Illinois. These were wooden grips for a recently purchased CZ83 pistol.
Everything looks great on the site. When I received the grips I could see they were poorly made (especially for $65!), and when properly installed did not allow my magazine to travel freely in the handle. So I did some minor sanding.
I installed the grips hand-tight (just so the screw would not come loose), and after shooting 50 rounds at the range today noticed one side was completely cracked!
I called the company, explained I had a defect and the owner promptly told me I installed them wrong. I suggested that I hadn't, but he insisted on talking over me and letting me no I had and then lectured me about firearms. They could not be returned because I did some minor sanding (nullifying his 'warranty') and they are useless. I suggested that he put specific instructions on his website for instillation or included them in the box and he just kept insisting that "I did it wrong, you should not even hand tighten and then use locktite". How hard would it be to just state that on the site?
I strongly recommend avoiding this business. Their products and service both stink. I am out $64 and I hope this idiot loses business because of this word of mouth
