Default What i done to my Shield 9mm

Been owning this Shield for almost a year. This gun is my first S&W gun. I'm a Glock fan but couldn't resist the Shield's single stack and slim profile.
Been wanting to install the Apex Enhancement Kit for the Shield but hesitating due not sure how to install the parts. To be exact, i was lazy to learn. lol

Was browsing around and found this site, his name is James

http://www.shop.xd-hs2000.com/Slide-Refinish-Special-SW-MP-Shield-XDS-shieldrefinish.htm

And tempted to get my slide refinished and also noticed James does Shield sights and Apex installations. His price on the sights or Apex are the decent or maybe just a LITTLE bit more than out there. Basically, he installs it for you for a small fee.

James uses KG Gunkote so not sure if i should call it Gunkote or Cerakote. Anyway getting the slide refinished, sights installed and Apex USB parts installed in the slide are just a one stop shop for me.

Ordered the color finish i wanted for my Shield and the TruGlo sights. The Apex kit was out of stock so i had to order from Midway, then sent the USB parts to James. I paid $144.50 for the Cerakoting and TruGlo sights, including shipping back to me. Total work is about 3 weeks including both way shippings by Priority Mail.

Apex Shield Kit installation guide:

Just got the slide yesterday and here are the pics:

Chose Titanium color cos i just wanted something between Silver and Black.
I really like it, perfect just like i expected.

Can't wait going to the range to test out the Apex Kit in my Shield. So far by dry firing, i feel quite a difference though.

Awesome! I have been eyeballin that gentlemans work for a while Now. That's the exact same thing I want to do with my slide. Triggers set, just need sights and slide done. Can't bring myself to parting with my shield for that long at this point thought.
