I agree too bad there isn't a 45 shield. And a 1911 is still in the distant future.

I picked up my 9mm shield this morning, I live in New Hampshire. I have been calling around for a couple weeks and every store is sold out and has a waiting list well after christmas.

Last night one of the managers from a store emailed me and said he just got a shipment of them and would put one aside for me! If you live in the area let me know!

A bigger hole isn't the only reason I love .45acp, in my opinion its the "most American" round for modern semiautos plus John Moses Browning designed it for the most American semiauto the legendary 1911. In reality balistic theory of higher velocity= more damage the .45acp is very slow

Ive got a Shield in 9mm and 40 S&W. Both shoot just fine. The recoil on the 40 is a little more snappy, but not as bad as youd think. Try to shoot one and decide for yourself.
