I got mine about two weeks ago. It is the best CC/SD gun I have ever owned, and I have owned A LOT of them (30+ years in LE). The think that impressed me the most was it's accuracy!!! It shoots better than most full size duty guns I have used.

Thanks for the response, I've been all for the sub compact glocks and then came across this today at the LGS and couldn't pass it up have heard some things about them but the guy working said he's surprised they even had one to sell so I bought! I'm glad to hear i made a good buy from someone with the experience you have! Will post pictures and a range report in the next couple days!

I got mine in July and I love it. I have full size M&Ps and this is just as reliable. Not one issue!!!

When you guys disassemble it do you push down that little yellow painted lever? Or do you just simply pull the trigger?

I know both works but I'm wondering if one is better or worse for the gun then the other?

I have been carrying mine since April. It's very comfortable and is light. Mine is a 40. And it is snappy. I still like carrying my xds and my g26 better bc I'm more confident in my accuracy. I carry it with the safety on bc I practice removing the safety when I practice drawing the gun. It just gives me that xtra peace of mind that I'm not going to blow my jewels off. I carry appendix bc it's a no touch zone and I never have to worry about printing. I love all my guns. The sheild is good as any. Most places I read about them everyone says it's their fav carry gun.

I pull the trigger when breaking down the firearm. It won't hurt it and it's quicker.

Default M&p sheild 9mm

An Apex carry kit and new trigger makes the Shield almost perfect.
