Default How many rounds have you fired through your m&p pro series?

I've been a glock guy for a while and know what kind of torture they can take. I've shot over 10000 round through mine. But I'm getting the m&p pro series 5" CORE and want to know what you guys have experienced with your competition guns? Issues? Wear and tear after lots of round?

I've run about 500 trouble free through mine so far. The first 50 or so before I installed the apex trigger and apex competition kit. Initially the original trigger was a little gritty. Really like this gun.

Mine is not a Pro series gun, but my M&P 40 is about to hit its first 1000 rounds. I had one failure to go fully into battery at around the 250 mark. Pretty sure I induced it with some additional slide contact with my support hand. Hadn't happened since. Trigger is improving with wear.

I've shot about 3500 through mine in local practical pistol and 3Gun matches. In other words it's been in a dump bucket many times. The only issues I've experienced is a broken guide rod and fiber coming out of the front sight post. The guide rod was replaced by S&W under warranty and they somehow shipped two so I have a range bag spare.

Good gun...I'll keep shooting it for at least another year.

Have about 2000 through my M&P 9. Had an issue first time at the range but I think it might have been the ammo. Since then, not so much as a hiccup. Great pistol.

Not a Pro series, but my M&P 9 has ~1,000 rounds through it with no issues.

Unless the stock trigger on the Pro series is light years better, you're going to want to do some trigger work. I had the duty/carry kit installed on mine and it made the trigger much more crisp.

My wife has an M&P 9. I have shot it over 500 times myself. I have no idea how many times she has shot the pistol. Neither of us have any complaints about the gun just the way it came out of the box.

Between us we do a lot of shooting. When we order a case of ammo I go to the bank and pay for it that day. We may need to order another case of ammo before the ammo hits our credit card statement.

Well I just got the gun so I'll start shooting and see what happens! I've heard alot of people do the apex trigger kit, after I shoot a few hundred I'll see if that's something that needs done. Thanks for the info!

Lots of people are changing the trigger on guns that have a 5 or 6 lb trigger out of the box are not preparing for speed or self defense shooting. Once I make a decision to shoot something I have pressure on the trigger. When I actually pull the trigger it is a little slap almost like I am shooting a shotgun. People say they can hear the trigger reset. I cannot hear the trigger reset but I can feel the trigger reset. No, I am not shooting little groups. But I am hitting a bunch of targets in a hurry. I am not shooting a bunch of targets in a line like the youtube speed shooters. I place my targets so I have to walk and swivel to address the targets. None of the targets are an easy perpendicular shot. One idiot I invited here to shoot from a local forum said what I was doing is dangerous. I might trip and fall backing up and shooting. He is correct I might trip and fall. I pray no one attacks the guy even if he is a jerk. But he might trip and fall when it really matters or just freeze when some rough guy tackles him.
