I have shot the M&P in both .40 and 9mm. I think they are fine right out of the box. If anything maybe night sights but even that I think is unnecessary. If you ever need to fire your gun in a life threatening situation you most likely won't even remember you have sights never mind use them.

The Apex trigger is a must have IMO. It made huge difference.

It seems like you are asking for opinions. Here's mine:

If you are not having any problems, don't change things.
If you do change things, have a way to get back to original condition if things don't work out.

You know how it is. If you have a fast car make it faster or a big truck make it bigger. So I have a grate gun so make it even more grater
