I don't always "carry" my .357 Magnum, but it's ALWAYS next to me when I'm in my house. Especially when I'm working in my home office. I wouldn't ever give up my Colt King Cobra for anything. I also have several S&W 629's near by too.
once again, i cannot stop drooling over this revolver.
Although I prefer to carry my 1911, I also carry this Mod. 66 2 1/2" which I built back in around 1979. It started life as a 4". I shortened the barrel, gave it a custom target crown and milled a front sight for it. The finish is matt and polished stainless. Action is one of the slickest around and it will print 1" groups at 25 yards all day.
My .357 is my primary winter carry gun. Summer time carry is a Walther PPK/S (more concealable)

Thought this a good place to post a pic of my S&W.357mag.
I posted a thread earlier on this topic (pg.1) of how I use my
.357Mag. it's mostly a woods gun, but I do have it available
for home defense.
Love my Ruger SP101, but since ammo is scarce I've had to buy a Brazilian make of rounds. Magteck using steel instead of brass. My reloading buddy tells me that they are so hard on the dies as to be unusable. So, it's target ammo at best.

I keep the .357 highway patrolman model 28 S&W 6 inch barrel with Hogue monogrips and old school black talons for ammo. S&W Performance Center gave it a action tune-up and fixed the timing........now, flawless!
