also i want to get a 6 or 8" colt anaconda .44 mag, barring that a ruger super redhawk.
Those Colts are pretty good, but my Anaconda, after about 750-800 rounds started to have issues. It did eventually lock up altogether and after being fixed had to have the timing reset constantly. I did like that pistol but just got tired of the issues. It was a .357 mag.

Is that why Colt stopped making the Anacondas?

I thought the Anaconda was only made in .44mag and .45 lc. The Anaconda had a lot in common with the . 357 Python and King Cobra models. The Anaconda was colts attempt to crack the big bore market, S&W introduced the 629 classic with full underlug barrel the same year. I have a 629 Classic DX it is the best hand gun of any sort I have ever owned.

You're correct, mine was the King Cobra... I had it awhile back, maybe that memory thing is why my daughter calls me "Old-Guy" Hahaha... Had A LOT of pistols.
