I own two of those Orbea's. One is a rusted POS and I'm afraid to try the other one
The only thing bothering me about the gun is that the screws on the right side of the frame look like they are not in the
appropriate positions, see:

Good eye! You're right. The locations of the screws are different and the hammer doesn't have the hump that your Orbea's has.

No, there is nothing about this handgun that resembles the Orbea's. No markings of any kind besides the little triangles on the barell. I'm beginning to think that this is a glorified cap gun for kids! I swear I had a pair of six-shooters and a holster that looked just like this handgun when I was about 8 years old. Maybe that's why I felt compelled to buy it!

FOUND IT!! Its a Spanish gun alright, just a different company; its a Benito Guisasola Brothers in Eibar, Spain.
The company went out of businees during the Depression of the 1930s.
Here is is next to a Smith, look at the screw positions:

You're on to something, though there are still some subtle differences. The Benito's forward screw is directly above the forward trigger guard, whereas my piece has it further forward. I have a small screw directly under the cylinder that is omitted from the Benito, and the Benito has a press fit pin on the aft trigger guard that is omitted from my handgun. However, based on your knowledge and research, I'd say it's a fairly good bet that what I have is a Spanish copy of a S&W.
