What Grain ammo for S&W 325 45.acp

picked up a 325, ordered a case of 230 grain ammo. it has a 4" barrel. what grain do u guys recomend for target and sefl defense...thanks

I use Remington GOLDEN SABRE for my SD. For practice, the cheapest ammo I can find.
