"West Pocket" would depend on the direction one was facing.

Could it be Vest pocket? Many old pistols and revolvers were called vest pocket pistols. Lacking any other info, identification would be very difficult. These were made in great numbers both in Europe and the United States years ago.

How about a desciption? Caliber, finish, number of shots, barrel, grips, etc. There WERE several guns marketed under the trade name Vest Pocket- one was an inexpensive German revolver, madew by the (wait for it) Rosco gun company. Get us some more info, will see what we can find for you.
