Taurus M66 is my carry piece. It's a great gun, but 460 for it is pretty steep. Criminal almost.

I paid 380 bucks for mine brand new.

You did good by going with the GP Revolver. Ruger trumps Taurus any day in my opinion.

Also, good groupings on those targets. Remember that you don't need to have sub 3 inch groups to be considered a good shooter (but you always need to strive for the tightest groups possible).

Good job.

It was 460 for the taurus 66 with a 6 inch barrel in chrome brand new. Where are you guys buying your guns that you get them for such good deals? Are you getting them from big shops such as sportsmans cabellas scheels ect or from the smaller family owned shops? In my area the big shops are always the cheapest and almost always have the exact same price no matter which one you go to.

As for my groupings, well I am not happy with them, but I have confidence that if someone breaks into my house I will be able to put them down I have definately improved alot in the past few months since we started shooting every week.

PS Hi brownie. Did I mention she bought me the GP100 as well as my 22/45? Yah, she's a keeper.

Min is a 4" in blue. Got it from a local gun shop in NH. NH guns tend to be about 30% cheaper than CT guns.

Considering the difference in finishes it sounds like maybe my local prices are pretty close to what other people are paying.
