1894 first generation Colt SAA black powder frame.
Needs a little work but I would too at this age. Does the hammer and or loading gate look period correct?

It aint got 3 screws.
All Colt SAA have 3 screws.
The hammer doesn't look correct to me, specifically the firing pin. I believe they were cone shaped, yours looks more chisel shaped.
I could be mistaken, as I know very little about these, or it could be the picture angle.
But I do know that, yes, it's supposed to have three screws.
Ok. I went to the actual auction. On it I could see the third screw. It dont look right. And why aint it showing on the other side???
Fake.... Final decision.
I just hate telling a fellow that his Bird Dog was just killed down on the Interstate.

I feel gutted but without your help I would have been scammed. I guess that explains the price.
