I also did this same test with a 150 gr 30-30 round fired from 5 yards, and surprisingly the results were almost identical to the 44 magnum, but just slightly more exaggerated in the destruction.First jug pretty bad, second jug destroyed, third jug moderate, 4th and 5th just holes, and then the bullet tumbled out at a 45 degree angle upward out of jug 5 with no bullet recovery.I find it interesting that 2 loads, worlds apart in energy and bullet size have almost the same results, and I also find it interesting that on the "Thornily Stopping Power" hunting chart that 30-30 ranks at 79 and the .44 mag ranks at 87, which are almost identical and both calibers are good for the same game.
