?taurus trecker model 44 review

is the taurus tracker in 44 mag worth the money or should i save up alitle more an buy a ruger?

People have differing results with Taurus firearms. Buying one will be your decision to make alone. Personally, I prefer Ruger's and won't own a taurus.

IMO get a Ruger. You might not even have to save up much more if you buy used. I snagged a Redhawk in excellent condition for $400 out the door at a place outside of town.

Just be patient and get something that you really want and can be proud of. ;)

It's worth it TO ME to save up and get the ruger rather than settle for the taurus and take my chances. :)

I am of this opinion, too. You get what you pay for & Ruger makes a fine gun.

No brainer, Ruger or a S&W.

Go with a Ruger. Redhawks and Super Redhawks can be had used for very reasonable prices, and the manufacturing is miles better than even the most reliable (or least unreliable) Taurus.

In the nearly thirty years I've owned my Redhawk it has never failed to fire. It's paid for itself over the years with the venison it put in the freezer and when I handle it it is as pleasing as the day I bought it. I have shot a friends Taurus Tracker 44 mag., it's nice but he has had extraction problems with one brand of fired cases. After owning my Ruger, no offense, but I would not buy a Taurus. Just my opinion. If you do by a Tracker I highly recommend Hogue grips as my friends stock Taurus grips came apart.

With guns (along with anything else) the adage "you get what you pay for" is 100% accurate. Until Taurus fixes their well documented QC and customer service issues - they won't see a dime from me.

For revolvers, S&W, Ruger, Colt, or Dan Wesson...

Buy Ruger!! You won't regret it. With Taurus you have a 50/50 chance. I regret my Taurus purchase years ago, had to trade-up to a S+W. GO RUGER!!
