Taurus revolvers
Up until about a year ago I didn't own any revolvers. Now the 3 revolvers that I do own are all Taurus revolvers. With being a newbie in the world of revolvers, I will say that the ones that I own are pretty darn good. I currently own a .38 ultra light, a judge 3" magnum, and a model 431 .44 special.

I have 2" 5 shot .357 revolver and love it! Bought it used for a smoking good price, just needed a little cleaning and functions great.

My only revolver is Taurus 94 4"SS model. Really accurate and a well made revolver. I would definitely consider another Taurus when I'm ready for big bore revolver.

I own a Taurus 605 357 magnum and a Poly Protector in 38 special. Both have been very good guns. I also own Ruger, Smith & Wesson and Colt revolvers.

When Taurus first spun off as the South American arm of S&W I was their biggest supporter. All these years later their revolvers are absolute carp -- and they even admitted to me they focus on semi-autos. Sorry, their QC has been in the dumpster for some time.

My only gripe would be your choice of a medium framed revolver in .44 special. it's an expensive round to purchase from the factory and there are so many equally sized revolver options in 45colt or .357magnum. Hell, even a .44 magnum revolver, and you could still shoot your specials through it. Still, I have to admit, one of the guns I'm most disappointed in myself for selling over the years was a snub nosed Taurus chambered in 45LC. I loved that gun and it functioned flawlessly. Plus, I hear the Taurus customer service problems have been worked out.

I honestly purchased it because it came at a price I just couldn't pass up$150.

In regards to Taurus revolvers, I don't own a revolver, only semis but I kinda want the .454 casull. Good or no?

I own 2 Taurus revolvers. One is a .38 Sp. Ultralite and a .327 Fed. Mag M327. I bought the 38 for my wife. When we first got it we had no problems with it. After a short time, it started misfiring. It only fired 4 out of 6 rounds. Sent it back to the company, and they fixed it. Turned out to be a broken transfer bar. Now it's working fine.

The M327 started acting up right off the bat. It wouldn't extract the shells. Sent it back, and they replaced the ejector. Now it too is working.

So far, I'm pretty disappointed with the Taurus revolvers. I have a PT-92 semi that I really like, and that was my introduction to the Taurus line and I was impressed. We'll see what happens next.
