I just purchased a Taurus 22 Magnum for my wife and I'm a little worried about it. It's brand new and I haven't fired it yet, but there is a lot of play in the cylinder. Is this normal for this gun or some revolvers? My High-Standard Double Nine is 35 years old and it's cylinder is tighter than the new Taurus and I have shot the crap out of the HS. All the gun reviews claim the Taurus Model 941 is a great gun, but then, you can't always believe what you read. Does anyone have any on-hand experience with this Taurus model or any other Taurus revolver? Thanks.

There should be very little play in the cylinder while it is locked up. When it is open you can have a little bit more but shouldn't be a whole lot. If you are worried I would have it checked by a good gun smith.
