I've been shopping around for either a pt 92 or a pt 917 and also have been looking at a nice ultra light revolver for my woman. I currently have a pt 92 that a friend as loaned to me to use and i love it. great accuracy and never has had a failure with at least 6 or 7 hundred rounds.

I just picked up a used (only made in 2005 and 2006?) Taurus model 607 in Stainless. Ported Barrel, nice rubber grips, and decent sights. Heavy, accurate, and very nice to shoot. Finish is really nice!
Two other friends of mine recently bought .22 pistols (model 94?). One loves it and the other sent his back due to cylinder timing issues. The other gun (the one who loves it) is a lead shaving SOB and I would bet that it has some timing issues as well, but he doesn't notice it while shooting.
Both of these made me reluctant to by mine, but the owner seemed like a straight shooter and for the price I decided I needed it. So far I am very glad I did!

I have owned many taurus guns and still have a few... I shoot a lot and i have never once had to send a taurus back to them...
