Default Taurus 608 SS 3" "SCORE"

This is new to me. acording to Taurus this was made in 1998. I am looking for some info on this model. Taurus labeled it as a 2-608039. I took it out for a spin on Saturday. Shoots great!! Would this frame size be simmilar to a S&W K or N frame?

Sorry It is a 357mag. I found it at a small gun shop in eastern VA.

Now I like it even more. 357 is one of my favorite calibers.

K frame would be a close match on size. The N frame is much bigger than the gun you have.

The Taurus M608 is built on the large pistol frame, approx. the same size as the S&W N-frame. (The same frame is used for a .44 Magnum.) There is no way you could get eight .357 Magnum rounds into a K-frame size cylinder. That's why the smaller Taurus M66 only holds seven. Your cylinder is approx. 44mm long compared to the M66's 40mm. That makes for some interesting load possibilities.
By the way, the fixed-sight 3" barrel M608 is a pretty rare animal.
