Thinking either Ivory or a nice wood set... Not sure which

Nice pistol There's a lot of red tape with ivory. I personally would get wood grips.

Ivory is going to run you around $300. on up. You can buy ivory grips all day long with no hassle on Gunbroker and ebay. Stag goes for around $100. on up. A nice set of wood grips may run you $100. or thereabouts. It just depends on your budget and your taste.

Personally, I lean towards Sambar Stag. With the right coloration and bark, it can be just beautiful on a six shooter.

You need some rattlesnake grips like cane has on his 1911's.... That would look sweet on a vaquero (Damn, i wish i didnt sell mine now... )

I agree, I have Ivory on my Python but for some reason I LOVE Stag on SAs

Thanks! They do dress up a gun rather nicely and they have that old west feel to them specially if you pair them with a nice stag handled knife on the belt.
