Some of my Ruger .44s...........
I stated in my introduction that I had a penchant for the Ruger Single Actions. That is especially true for the three-screw models, and moreso for those of .44 caliber:

These are my three-screw .44s, the one on the right a .357 Magnum converted to .44 Special by Dave Clements. The remainders are .44 Magnum. The brass framed gun dates back to 1971, and is the gun with which I made my best shot in the field, taking a groundhog at 110 yards.

You can`t beat them old 3 screws. I only have 1 in .44 mag., but I also have a .45, a .41 a .357 and a Single Six. I have a weakness for them too. ;)

Those are beauties Bob, Love that Brass frame one. I have one Old Army with a factory brass frame.Looks like we're almost neighbors. I'm just south of Memphis in Mississippi.

very nice collection of rugers! i'm also a fan of the single action revolvers and the very first large caliber handgun i ever shot was my uncles 44 mag blackhawk many, many years ago. needless to say, it made a lasting impression on me! i still remember that pistol almost breaking my wrist! i have a deep affection for large caliber handguns to this day. if i ever buy a single action, the one that catches my eye is the ruger vaquero in 45lc. those truly are nice looking pistols and i like the grain on the grips. enjoy!

Very nice! I used to collect Old-Model "Flatop" Rugers during one of my collecting phases---sadly, sold them all except two; a 99% 4 3/4" 357 and a really nice 44 Mag that had been at some point shortened to 4 3/4" along with a fine condition Ruger Flap holster. The later is one of my favorite "Packin' Pistols"---the 357 is too nice to put in a holster, but still gets shot from time-to-time!
