I have a correction
"Shooting to live" was written by WE Fairbairn

Rex Applegate helped adapt this book for the US army.

I think all of us enjoy shooting. Everything

about the sport, lifestyle, hobby, whatever

you want to call it, follows that basic concept.

For those of who aren't recoil junkies, punishing

recoil removes the fun factor.

I shoot and reload .44 Rem Mag. I don't know if others

have done a similar thing, but I've limited the calibers

I own and shoot to economize, and avoid confusion with

similar calibers.

But a .44 snub would simply produce too much recoil and muzzle

flip, for me personally, in order to regard it as fun. It's probably

a great SD gun, but I really like to shoot all my guns at the range.

Maybe I'm different from everybody else, tho.(probably)

Wolf i agree. even some of my firearms that have a specialized use, are still fun to just shoot with. some are just bought for the simple enjoyment of shooting them. some i would like to own would be for the simple enjoyment of shooting them and not any real practical purpose.

i enjoy shooting my 44 Magnum pistol and shoot about 60-70% 44 Spl. rounds through it and about 30-40% 44 Magnums. i reload ammo for it so it does get shot quite a bit.

I shoot a DE44. It's my "guilty pleasure" gun, also affectionately known

at the range as "WTF IS THAT THING ?!" But the longer barrel, weight,

and the semi action tame the recoil almost down to 45ACP range.

I really love the Walnut furniture on the Marlin 44 carbine though.

There's recoil, but it's not bad.

hunt wida pistol sounds fun...(my Uncle passed and my cousin keeps bringing out Uncs guns to fook around with when up at "da farm")
one iza Blackhawk .44 jobbie, eight inch barrel ena big ol' scope on it.
Rooky iyam..the scope seemed spot on as I shot the bowling pin across the shooting range lawn somewhat...tis a very cool spot along the Lemonweir River in Wisconsin.
I hope my recently applied FOID card does well. Shooting sober sounds like a great hobby.
lol, yeah, twas always at family gatherings in partay-ish mode of 200 acres. ~~
Winning the back powder/thirty cal rifle contest I recall most. ~ ha, times one can't see a bulls eye hit @ 60 yards. woot!
Davy Crockett stylze free hand o're an hour 'n half is something I wish you all fine folk. ~ tips me hat
