I took my Model 69 with me to the gun range yesterday and tried out some various reloads. This revolver is by far the nicest shooting 44 Magnum I have ever owned. The big bang attracted the attention of the Range Officer, and he seemed confused as to what I was shooting. I showed it to him and he was more astonished to see it was an L Frame 44 Mag. I let him shoot it, and he was really shocked as to how controllable it is especially with hotter loads. I shot a bunch of typical 240 grain JFP's, then broke out my "bad-boy" 305 grain Hard Cast Semi-Wad Cutters. I kept a 4" group at 15 yards with no effort at all. I LOVE this revolver!
