Yeah, the .44 mag is good. It just doesn't have the history of the .45 Colt. I reload .45 Colt to about 1200 fps with a 255-grain LSWCHP.
So it ain't wimpy like the "Cowboy Action" loads.

Yeah, i used to do the SASS thing- It got stoopid on the mouse load crap-

I have the 25-5 on my short list. I have 7 N-frames, but sadly none in .45 Colt. I had a 1955 model (target version of the 25-2). I wish I had it back.

AND, there is no such thing as a "little" N-frame.
