The discontinued Ruger Old Army was a one of kind handgun. This one has an R&D cartridge .45 Colt conversion. I really prefer shooting Triple 7 and .456 230 grs. bullets.

This is the newest member of my SA family, Blackhawk .357Mag. I also have Blackhawks in .45lc, and .44Mag. And an Uberti 1858 Rem BP. Will try to round up pics of them

I think we should have a "WILD WEST" section for our lever guns, coach shotty's, and wheelguns.......

I've been bitching and moaning about all the frivolous sub forums, but this is an idea I would totally get behind!

Start a thread on it in the firearms talk support and suggestions forum.

I suggest the name "the frontier"

I like that idea....not only gun pics, but could also have fun facts, stories, and information about the lawmen, outlaws, frontier towns, and what life was like in general during that time in American history...I'm overly fascinated with that era...would love to go back in time and be a saloon girl for a few days (not a prostitute...they stayed upstairs) saloon girls were hired by the saloons to party with the cowboys..keep them entertained, and spending money. I read everything i can find about life back then.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."
