I am a fan of the Security six revolvers I have two (one in blue and one in stainless). Anyways, I found one in a stainless one in a shop for about $380. I am thinking about buying it and instead of having another 357 magnum Security six. I was going to send it to Pinnacle Custom and have it converted to 9x23mm Winchester. This was I can fire 9x23, 38 Super, and 9X19 in it and have a truely custom gun.
I would carry it with 9x23 and use cheap 9x19 at the range for fun. I went to check the maximum pressure levels of both the 357 magnum and 9x23 to see if they were comparable but I can't find them measured using the same scale.
For example, I found that the 357's max chamber pressure is 35,000 PSI but the 9x23mm is 45,000 CUP. I read that CUP can't be converted to PSI and I can't find any data of a PSI value for the 9x23mm WIN caliber.
Any help would be appreciated.
As well as coments about my idea to convert a Six. Pros, Cons, whatever.
