Default S&W Model 57 No Dash

I picked up a Model 57 no dash, pinned barrel and recessed cylinder with walnut case, paper work and tools. I was in the gun shop when a guy brought this in to sell on consignment. It has been fired but very little. It would grade at 98%. I paid $625 out the door. It has a 4inch barrel.I think that I got a good deal. Sorry about no pics. I can't get this camera to work Is this a good deal? Thanks for your response.

If you're happy it's a good deal. If you're really happy it's a screaming deal. According to published values you did well. Personal satisfaction is where it's at.

Thank you all for the encouraging comments. I was pretty sure this was a good deal as I spend a lot of time in this gun shop. Now I'm going to enjoy this Smith. Again...Thanks for the comments

I demand pictures!! You got a good deal but the rest of us are getting hosed without pics.

There is just something about older smiths that I can't get away from.

SA-WEET!!! I love me some N-Frames, especially .41's. What's the serial number prefix? S or N?

N-really good deal

S-super sweet deal

Wish I could get that lucky, the 57 with a 6" barrel is very high on my wish list.

Then this should make you cry. I paid $225 for my pinned and recessed 6" M-57. Of course that was over 10 years ago.

I can't get pics to work. I think it is the old camera that I have. I understand the frustration for the lack of pics but this is a nice model 57. Ser No is N606xxx. I believe it was made in the late 70s. It has been fired very little and does not have a blemish or any wear whatsoever.I'm almost afraid to take it to the range. Thanks for all for your interest and comments.
