s&w model 10-7 2 inch
I am looking at a s&w model 10-7 2 inch barrel in very fine condition--would grade easy NRA 97% Ser. no. 5D979xx. grips are numbered to the gun and are in excellent cond.(round frame). Any idea when this was made. I have other smiths--several model 10s-model 57 no dash. mod.629-2 mod. 36 but no mod 10 short barrel. I know I can get this for $300. I would appreciate any comments or advice. Thanks in advance

Nice looking pistol, I think you did fine paying $300 for it. They are hard to find in my area in that good of condition.

That S&W is definitely a value at $300, IMHO every day.
