If you liked the gun, I say a brand spanking new one just like it....just functional.

pmc has a bad rep for really hot loads. i dont use it ever. but then im not a big fan of factory ammo.

Damn, glad i saw this thread, gonna disassemble the remaining six roinds of pmc 357 (150 sfhp) and never buy any pmc again.

Update on broken J-frame
Received a brief email from Smith & Wesson. They are replacing the gun. But they cannot say when just yet because of manufacturing backlog. Thank you, S&W.

Windsor,
Like the others I am glad you are OK! WOW! Thank God the pressure went out in front of the cylinder! May be worth a new revolver for you. I have had a light weight also for years. I sighted it with 357 Mag Loads so I knew where they hit and carry them in it for ccw. But anytime I just target practice with it I use to shoot wad cutters out of it. Like you I only shoot the 357s on rare occasion when on the range and usually about 6 rounds. From experience even a K Frame Smith will loosen if a steady diet of 357s are shot through it. Sorry about your incident and as stated man, I am glad you are fine. Maybe S&W will chip in for a new one?
Just for information PMC does not manufacture their ammunition here in the states any more. They sold all of their reloading machines in their Nevada Plant years ago and buy it all from Korea. All they do here in the states is put it in PMC Boxes. Last time I was at the plant there were only 6 people working there boxing ammunition.

Dont get your shorts in a bunch so quick. I had a gun blow up on CCI Lawman and they would not do anything. No squib as it went bang, bang, bang, boom.

Real cool of Smith and Wesson. Congrats on not losing any digits and getting your pistola replaced.
