S&W 686+ hogue grips dontlook right help

Just bought hogue grip for my 686+ but It does not look right has gap please look and help is it suppose to look like that I bought it for square butt did I get the right ones ty

I think you got the wrong model of grips. You have the square houge grips on the round grip frame.

New 686 is round butt I believe. You can use round to square but not square.
