S&w 625
 

I am looking to get my first revolver. As a previous poster mentioned, I would like to stay with a caliber I already have ammo for - in this case it is 45. My LGS has a S&W 625JM for $700.00. Is the 625 a good purchase option? Any nuances with this gun that you have experienced? Is the price out of line?

Price is a little high for a used one.
The only nuance is those pesky moon clips, but you could find some .45Auto-rim out there and avoid the moon clips.

A guy I've met in Louisiana seems to shoot one pretty good (Jerry Miculek). He even has one in some of his Youtube videos.

I am certainly a Jerry Miculek fan. Love watching him on the various gun shows.
