Default Ruger Vaquero

i have a ruger vaquero, it was made in 1996 and is in brand new condition, with box and papers. its never even had a round put in the chamber. it still looks like the day it was bought. it has the old style bluing and is .45LC. a friend of a friend has a rifle i want, and i would like to know the value of the vaquero in hopes of obtaining the rifle...

Have one just like it but mine is stainless/ivory, they are priced around $500-$550 at gun shows, though $400-$450 is more realistic, picked mine up same condition, never fired (pre-obama/gun panic, though I don't think anyone was too worried about a single action ban) for $400.

I have always wanted an M1, just never got around to getting one yet, The Vaquero has a special place in my heart, but I'd trade it to an M1 in a heartbeat. Good luck.

M1 what? Garand rifle, or carbine? For the carbine, even trade, rifle you will have to add to the ante.

its a International Harvester M1 Garand, the guy only wants $800 for it. i havent yet talked to the guy about trade im just going though my less loved guns for potental trade as i dont have the money and a IHC garand is my "dream" gun. (military rifle made by IHC, need i say more...) i live out west, so im a weirdo for wanting (and driving) anything International. im actually hoping the guy would be interested in some of my old pinfire and CB pistols.

Purchased my NIB old model Vaquero in 44 magnum about three and a half years ago for its original list price of $375. I see the new models in 45 Long Colt go for two hundred more these days so I say $4-450 max for private sale should be about right.

I am right there with you! I would love an old IH Scout, 345 V8... and the IHC M1 to go with it! Of course, I live in the heart of Scout country.
