Default Ruger Sp101 .22LR

It was a rumor for awhile of Ruger re-releasing the sp101 in .22LR,Guns and Ammo magazine mistakenly said it was coming out last month I think it was,but now it's official, they have released the sp101 in .22LR and it looks quiet beautiful with the 4.2" half lug barrel, msrp is set at $675 which means I could get it for probably a little over $500,and if it's a good gun I'd consider it over a S&W .22DA revolver seeing as they can run upwards of $800-$900 out the door. What do you think of this gun?

Don't get me wrong, I own Ruger wheel guns and like them. My LCR is my summer EDC.

But.......should it come to a .22 rf wheel gun, I'd go with the 10 rd Smith.

I own a Smith 17, but this Ruger is very intriguing.

IMO It is a unnecessary addition to their line. They already have a 22 revolver...and I don't see the need for this. The SP is best as a CCW and it will never be an excellent target/plinking 22 IMO.

I know that if/when I get an SP101 it won't be in a 22lr. My two bits...
