Default Ruger single six engraved

I have a Ruger single six that is factory engraved as far as I know but I can't find much info on the Internet about it. So I was wondering if anyone here had any info on it. It's serial number is 24887.

Ruger is very good at tracking serial numbers. Send them a letter and you should get a reply.
It used to be free, I don't know if it still is. Heck, I've called them on the phone and gotten info before.
There's also an online database. If I can remember it, I'll let you know.

Is there a 650- prefix?
If so, it should be a 1986 production I think.
Go to Rugers web site, click on Cust. service, click on production, click on your gun model. The serial #s will come up.
I accept any denomination in unmarked paper of the realm, thank you very much.

Ok, I just got off the phone with Ruger and they sad it was made in 1955. By the way the serial number was actually 24387. They said they couldn't give me any other information on the gun.

Darn those threes and eights. They look alike sometimes.

Wow! Nice. That's beautiful for a 56 year old gun.

Thanks. I just wish I knew I little more about it because I've never seen one before.
