I have a chance to get a Ruger-4 inch barrel in the original box for less than 200.00. I don't know sqat about this gun, but think I should get it? I would be trading a Mossberg 500c 20 gauge that I have 100.00 in and 75.00 cash. Good deal or not?? By the way it is a SS gun in excelent condition. |

Is the Ruger a .357 or a .38? They made some .38 models. If it's a .357, $200. is a good price.
Would you prefer to keep the shotgun, or would you rather have the Ruger? __________________ Ineptocracy (in-ep-toc’-ra-cy) - a system of government where those least capable of leadership are elected by those least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to succeed or provide for themselves are rewarded with goods and services paid for by wealth confiscated from a diminishing number of people who actually work and produce.

It is a 357. I have a safe full of long guns and the little 20 gauge wouldn't be missed. |

If the Ruger is clean and locks up tight, the barrel and crown are good etc, jump on it.

It should be able to shoot .38 specials. __________________ "It's a gun you loaded on Sunday, and shot all week."

That's the nice thing about .357's. You can shoot .38's for fairly cheap plinking and .357's for when you just want a blast or for SD.

I have a Security Six from the mid 1970's it's a 4" bbl in the blue frame, This gun was carried by my Dad when he worked his security job back then, & I carry this gun a lot, in my Bianchi X15 shoulder holster during the cool weather, & in a OWB holster during the warmer weather, I love this gun, its accurate & reliable, & it hides pretty good also, I keep it loaded with 125 GR. gold dot ammo for SD. |
