WOW! Those in stainless are PURTY!

Mine is second year of production, blued 4" with aftermarket over-sized wood grips. The pawnshop guy was actually apologizing about the grips - they were UGLY! Prior owner tried to sand them to fit better I guess..... worked! They fit my hand perfectly! One big reason I bought the gun. I refinished them.
I think he also had the action worked on - the trigger is superb!

I bought this Security Six at a gun show a while back & it's rapidly become a favorite gun at the range. It's never missed a beat & is always up to the task, no matter what I feed it. My daughter wants me to will it to her, and I made the mistake of letting my mother shoot it one day...she almost wouldn't give it back!

It originally had these wood grips...

But my daughter said it was hard to hang onto, so I installed these Hogues. It's easily her favorite gun nowdays.

Not to mention it can be quite photogenic at times...

I'd love to get my hands on one. May get a SP101 3" as well.

I have been looking for a Security Six with a 2.75” barrel forever to go with my 4" Security Six
(Also below). My buddy owns a gun shop and calls me when something on my wish list comes in.
Long story short I picked this up today:

How is the Security Six different than the GP100?

I would equate the Security Six to a K frame Smith and the GP100 to a L frame Smith. The frames are practically the same size, but the barrel is tapperd and lighter making the balance better for the Security Six. Also, every Security Six I have fired has had a better trigger than every GP100 that I have fired (and I own two SIXs and one GP100).

Oh, I know I also have a model 19, but I couldn't think of a way to explain the differences between the Security Six and the GP100. It was a poor analogy.
