It's also a trail gun for plinking & filling the soup pot, a tackle box gun for snake or dangerous/diseased critters and yes, for camping n home defense - its a self defense gun.
Not sure it qualifies as a Tgt gun.
However, if this was my primary SD gun - I w buy a 22 LR or Mag for low cost practice.
Gent wanted to compete in bowling pin tournament at his local club but didn't have a lot of $$ for practice ammo for his SW 357. He borrowed his brothers SW 22 w same barrel length and had similar grips n sights installed like his competition piece. He ran a few bricks of ammo knocking off beer cans w the 22 and then moved up to the 357 w handloads. He won the local tournament.
He credited using the 22 n the smaller beer cans in training for his success.
