It was a progressive thing, but I have seen not so minor problems waiting to get worse on several NIB .357 LCRs. It eventually got to the point that you had to tap the heel of your hand against the cylinder to get it open. Ruger was not a bit of help on this. They were great about shipping it to and from, but there were no repairs made as far as we could tell. The function was unchanged when we got it back.

*Rumor Alert*
Allegedly Ruger has made some production/design changes to correct this problem, even though they deny a problem in the first place. This is a read between the lines type thing as related to us in the last phone call with Ruger. They never told us there was a problem, and they never admitted they failed to fix the nonexistent problem, but they hinted that the problem they didn't have should be a thing of the past.

Interesting, I will keep my eye out for it. So far I've got hundreds of rounds through it and its flawless. Thanks for the insight.

I was at Sportsman's Warehouse and they have Ruger LCR 38 Special with Hogue Tamer grips for $399; but, with large hans the small size was the turn-off.
