Ruger LCR

I'm thinking about getting a Ruger LCR and wanted to know what you guys think about them. My main question though is it a good carry weapon?

I picked one up a few weeks ago

I picked one up a few weeks ago and it is a great little revolver for CC. It can fit in a front pocket holster or IWB just as easy. It's probably the lightest weight handgun I own and the trigger is so smooth that it shoots real well at the range.

Here's a pic of mine in .38spl+p

Very nice, have you heard of any problems with the .357 version?

Someone mentioned a problem with the 357 model in a previous LCR posting. Can't remember it off the top of my head.

The .357 LCR has had many complaints about this issue. It's not any less safe, but it does make loading, unloading, and lock-up less enjoyable than it could be. The .38 special LCR is a great gun and seems to be immune to this problem.

Found it from the old post.

No problems with mty .357 LCR, It replaced my SP101 and .38 Taurus for revolver carry.
It does not have uncontrollable recoil.

I bought the 357 version so I could shoot both 38's & 357. Never a problem with it, and it's a great carry gun.

I carry my LCR22 when hiking and it's a great camp gun. The centerfire LCRs in 38/357 have a good reputation. I have one in 38 and it has been troublefree. My 22 though is my favorite LCR and is just a hoot to shoot or train with.

I own the .357 and its awesome. I have the remora holster for it right now and have been pretty happy with it. The gun is a shooter for how small it is. Recoil is very manageable also.
