Ruger LCR in .357 mag

I have ordered one as a new CC gun, to replace my old smith 38 and am wondering if anyone else is carrying one and what there thoughts are on the preformance and polymer frame.

LCR for carry

Yep I carry one every day as well..a great pocket carry gun and with the polymer frame, and recoil tamer grips, a fun gun to shoot at the range.

I've been thinking about one but I just can't get the LCR to drop into my pocket like my LCP. I would much rather carry a 357 instead of a 380 but my current work situation just doesn't allow it.
I'm sure you'll be happy with the gun and I'm sure one will make it's way into my posession eventually.

Ruger LCR .357

I have one and it is now my carry gun. Good trigger for a double action and will shoot a very powerful load. Practice rounds are .38s and +Ps. Carry ammo is 158 gr. soft lead swc w/gc. Going about 1020 fps with around 365 ft. lbs of energy. Not bad for a 17 oz. 2" revover. Loud but managable. Bufflalo Bore has a good selection of short barrel ammo. Good shootin' to ya'. Dgang

Forgot to mention: The 158 gr. soft lead SWC with G/C is also a HP. Like the old FBI load but more powerful. Those who shoot the LCR will agree it is fairly hard to be accurate over 7 yds, and in a emergency situation not all shots will hit the intended target. I added a Crimson Trace laser to the revolver whick makes it a great self defence weapon, five shots with devastating power. If I new I was going to a gun fight and had only a handgun I would choose a high cap .40, but for everyday carry the Ruger with this load and the laser is hard to beat. Just my 2 cents. Good shootin' to ya' all, dgang

Well it came in yesterday and I hit the range with it. I liked the way it feels even when shooting .357 mag rounds. One of the best feeling magnums I've shot. I like it better than my Ruger sp101 I sold a few years back. I really like the feel of the grip, just has a good positioning for the recoil. Now I just have to find a good CC holster for it.

Mine lives on my ankle, maybe try that? If not the Blackhawk IWB neoprene...size 5 (I think) works well too
