Ruger GP100s don't have a design flaw-otherwise I would have seen problems like you have before. Something smells fishy when you say Ruger don't stand behind their products. Send it back to Ruger and they'll take care of it. Have you tried that? Ruger customer service has always been top notch in my book. Yours is the 1st time I've ever heard of this problem.

I noticed a CRACK at the end of my barrel, between the plunger hole and the bore hole. Everyone who owns a GP100 better check the end of their barrel. I could barely see mine. Ruger won't stand behind their product.

Go on over to the Intro section and let us know a little about yourself. Far as Ruger Customer Service goes, they have always been superb to deal with.

Yes, I tried sending it back. They basically told me my barrel is bulged and we can fix this for you for $365.00 or give you a new one for $330.00. It sounded pretty good at first getting the new one for $35.00 less. But, Then I thought about it and said no! Send me my gun back. Why would I pay another $330.00, When I paid that new in 1992.
Stalkingbear, I'm just trying to help anyone who owns one to check the end of their barrel, between the plunger hole and the bore hole!
