Default Ruger GP-100 5" barrel

My LGS just got one in. I have had him on the hunt for a 6" model. He told me about this gun coming in but it is not listed on Ruger's website. I haven't seen it as he called me. Wanted to know if I want him to hold. He's got $630 OTD on it.

Anybody know anything about this model?

The 5" ones are kind of uncommon compared to the 4 and 6 inch versions. That is a good price for any barrel length in my area. Shops in my area seem to have them all priced at $650 or more.

The 4" and 6" models are listed with MSRP of $759 on the Ruger site. Seems this is a Davidson exclusive. I might have to put the 6" on hold and grab this one.

I picked it up yesterday. Haven't shot it yet but style wise I like it better than my 4" model. Less billboard on the left side and the GP100 lettering stands out more on the right side. The 6" should be at the shop on April 30th. My gun guy isn't sure if it will be blued or stainless. I'll have to see what the gun budget looks like in a couple weeks.
