My oldlady shoots my Gp100 all the time at the range and she handles .357's like they are nothing. She likes my Gp more than her Glock. Shes about 5'4" and maby 130lbs and she does great with it. But shes looking at getting and Sp101 for her carry weapon. Dont know if this helps but she also tried the Lcr in .38+p and didnt like it at all its to small of a gun. Im pretty sure the Gp will be a great choice for you. What lenght barrel are you looking at? Mine is the four inch barrel. Dont mind the other thats her Glock.

That is the exact gun, that I am considering, thanks for the info about how your wife handles the gun, I think I will go for either that one or the sp101 .357 in the 4" barrel. I'll have to do some more research, and maybe try them out.

You would probaly be better off getting the Gp100 the recoil probaly isnt gonna be as bad because of the added weight and if all else fails it would make a really good club.

Ruger fan club checking in...can't go wrong with the GP, simple operation, maintenence, usage. .357 chambering is the way to go, you don't have to run .357's through it but it's nice to have options!
