What weight bullets are you shooting? My 50th 44 is right on target with very little elevation cranked in with 240 grain Magnums.

That's why I decided on the Bisley. Much bigger grip... I shoot up to 330 grain loads and the Bisley grip really does its job.

Try a Hogue grip, if it don't work, PM me and I'll buy it for cost and shipping. Mine came with Pachmayr's and I don't like 'em.

Still trying to find a grip as I just posted in another thread in this forum. Like it was previously stared, there is no oversize option for the new XR3 frame. I will shoot it again and change my aiming technique, I think I can fix that.

Anyone know of a good, reliable, custome grip maker?

I have a set of Pachmayr Presentation grips on my .41 mag Blackhawk and they make the pisol much more comfortable to shoot. Those 250 grain Federals are much easier to handle than with the standard grip panels.
Hopefully they will fit yours.
Jeff

So I ended up order 2 sets of custom wood grips for this gun. (Yeah this gun is a definate keeper now). I ordered one set of overized Spalted Maple w/ bonecap from Welcome to Gunfighter928 which I haven't seen yet, but his work looks good from other pics.

Also an oversized finger grooved set was made from Handgun Grips Custom Grips Grip Kits Pistol Grips Custom Hand Gun Grips Single Action Grips Specialty Grips - Klamath River Woodworks who just sent me preliminary photos and they look awesome! Both should be in with in the week and I will post pics as soon as I can.

Ok, so here are some pics finally. The awesome set of grips on the gun are from Klamath River Woodworks. They are fingergroved made from black and white ebony and feel every bit as good as they look. They fit the frame perfectly. Definitely worth every penny and I can't wait to get another set. They look even better than the pic shows.

The other pair is from Gunfighter928. They feel much better than the factory grips as they are 3/4'' longer. I've seen his grips with better luster than this set. Also notice the mismatched spacer for the base of the frame.

So there you go!
