Ruger Blackhawk in 30 Carbine
My dad called me today and said he found one that is in like new condition, he questions whether or not it has been fired for $370. He thought it was a 7 1/2" barrel. I know little about the various versions of Blackhawks other then people get excited about the 3 screw. Where are the Ruger nuts? SHOW YOURSELVES!!
Thanks guys.

I had one. It is a pure hoot to shoot. If it's in good shape, that's a very fair price. It also makes a pretty fair close in varmint shooter. It's loud and it's fun.

Buy it! You will never look back!
Don put it the best; "It is a pure hoot to shoot."
I got mine back in 1983 used for $145.
It's Magna-Ported and shooting this puppy at night is like a Pink Floyd concert! The noise, cylinder/forcing cone, Magna-Port and muzzle flash is real graphic!
With the 7 1/2" barrel it is deadly accurate. I got a western rig while in Monterrey Mexico for about $22US.
I love the looks of the wood stocks but if I'm going to shoot any volume I will put on the Pachmayrs.
When it comes to auto loaders, give me Colt!
If it's wheel guns, I'll take Rugers! (Well maybe a Python or Anaconda too, you know me and snakes!)

Ruger 30 Carbine
That is a heck of a price if it is in good shape. As said before they are a blast to shoot and will be enjoyed for a long time, had mine for nearly 33 years. Just consider the new ones are $ 541.00 and don't come with the wood grips. Buy it your dad won't be unhappy.

Alright, I'm going tomorrow and if it's still there I'm going to buy it. Where do you guys get ammo? Brass? Bullets? I'm good on primers.

I get my 30 Carbine ammo from Georgia Arms. I don't know how it will do in a Ruger revolver, but my M1 Carbine likes the stuff. The last 500 round can I got was $200,,,,,,, if I remember correctly.

Do not shoot Wolf!!!
My Blackhawk Does Not like steel case! (Or maybe it just doesn't like Russia!)
Georgia Arms - .30 CARBINE
The price has gone up some Flint Rock.
I have saved the shipping by placing an order and having it delivered to the Ft. Lauderdale Gun Show.
Check the show schedule and see if they attend one near you.
I have used Georgia Arms ammo for years and have good luck with all calibers. They are my source for the 460 Rowland.

Hey spit, the Nov/Dec 09 American Handgunner has an article titled ".30 Carbine Combo Guns" pg. 56 which includes the Ruger Blackhawk.
A good read and has a section on reloading.
Check your local news stand and pick up a copy.
