Nail polish is fine for range guns but any CC weapon should have real night sights. And for $50 I don't see any reason why you wouldn't want them... This is just my opinion of course.

Yea, that's a good point. I have been looking at the xs. I've seen good reviews. I'm not sure if I'll like it being so large and covering my sight picture though

I know what you mean. The meprolight night sight is perfect for the sp101.

I did the same thing to my Glock and I bet my sights are just as good as a set that cost 100$ and I did it for less than 3$, I defenitly get what your saying but I really didnt want to spend that kind of money.

That depends on what you want the gun to do. If you want a range gun, accuracy is the primary concern. Big front sight probably wouldn't work well.

If you want a carry piece, then that big front sight could possibly save your life. Your primary concern is find the sight quick and get it on the target immediately.

I put a XS Big Dot on my S&W BG 380. It was a great addition to that pistol.

It's going to be my cc gun. I have a p226 pmm for the range. I'll still shoot this one to keep up my accuracy.

Is that glow in the dark nail polish on the front sight? I had some on one of my pistols a while back and you're right, it works great. The only problem was that it had to be "charged" on a light source to work. And when you CC it all day it's not going to glow if you have to use it at night. That's the only reason I said what I did about a CC piece needing real night sights.

Like you said though, for a quick and cheap upgrade to your sights, nothing beats nail polish.

No its not glow in the dark nail polish. Just the brightest green I could find. And it works great and I would recommend it to anybody.
