That depends on what you want the gun to do. If you want a range gun, accuracy is the primary concern. Big front sight probably wouldn't work well.
If you want a carry piece, then that big front sight could possibly save your life. Your primary concern is find the sight quick and get it on the target immediately.
I put a XS Big Dot on my S&W BG 380. It was a great addition to that pistol.
