I've actually seen one of these at the range. Just once as people don't seem to actually shoot them. I didn't realize what it was at first, it looks like a starter gun for a foot race. I'd be interesting in shooting one someday just for the experience.

my first handgun was a rg-23 .22lr that i bought in 1971 for $50. fired hundreds of rounds through it without a hitch. killed several snakes and dozens of rats with it using rat shot.

You are correct, Sir! The very same gun was also what was usually invoked when people were talking about "Saturday Night Specials" back in the 80's.

Couple months ago i saw an ad for an rg on a certain arms listing site, only the guy was trying to sell it as a ruger lcr, for more than what an lcr goes for new at a lgs. He seemed pissed when i called him on it. He hasnt used that site since.
