Right Choice?
Went to the gun shop to buy a Ruger Single Six ($175) in decent/good conition. But I was also presented with a Colt Official Police 38 ($75) in decent/goof condition. Checked up on the serial number of the Colt, it was made in 1929. I chose the Colt, my wallet says I made the right choice. But what do you guys think?

If it's in decent condition, any Colt revolver is worth having and $75. is a steal. Now go back and get the Single Six for plinking.

My only camera is in my phone so it doesnt show much detail. There is some wear and scratches, but hey the gun is 82 years old.
I had a concern with the Single Six. when I opened the gate, as you would to eject spent shells, and pushed the ejector rod it wasnt lined up to push through the cylinder. I could half cock the hammer to free the cylinder and get it to go through once lined up obviously. But my concern was if it wasnt lined up with the ejector rod then the cylinder may not be lined up true to the barrel. I dont anything about the single six so maybe this is the way its supposed to be. Would like to get feedback from an owner/past owner.

When I called Colt to check the date of manufacture, I asked because it just says .38 on the barrel. The guy said he couldn't look that up over the phone. I did some research and I believe they only made it in .38 Special not .38 Shorts (S&W)
