Revolver strip down!
I need help, I recently acquired a new cylinder hand for my single action heritage rough rider since my old cylinder hand spring broke but I need help taking apart my revolver. I have never taken apart a single action revolver before so specific instructions would be really awesome.

There are two series of "hands" for the Rough Rider. When my spring broke, I had to get the new style hand and reshape it to work in my older model. The spring itself is not an easy thing to replace.

Getting back to my post above. We are talking about part "5.1" and not "3.3". If so, that part comes with the spring installed. There is a cut-off on the serial #'s when you go to the Heritage website and try to order the part. The older style is no longer available.

Thanks to all! I have now successfully stripped down and put back together my revolver! I pretty much used all of the information you guys gave me and now it works like it just came out of the box!
